WB 4-7
SUMMARRRYYY
Whats up linglings, another weekly blog. A lot happened this week despite having a short week, so let megan explain what happened in megan's week. It was unfortunate that Ms. Murphy left, I really did like her teaching style and her lab report lessons. I also really miss her, and genuinely hope she becomes a teacher in Ilima soon. Other than that, during one of the odd days this week (i dont remember the certain day..), period 3 delivered Honor Roll certificates. I was partnered up with Myra, and we genuinely annoyed Ms. Chen when giving her Honor Roll certificates for her advisory. In addition to delivering the certificates, it was fun visiting the 7-3 teachers (where they stopped Myra and I to talk). It was also hilarious hearing Ms. Arakawa talking about how my Mr. Cole "flag" was in the background during her meeting. I also visited Mr. Cole afterschool on Thursday, and it was amusing to hear him rant about the sticker on the Owala water bottle I got him. However, working on 8th grade slideshow has gone smoothly in ways where each of the periods are communicating effectively about problems we can easily solve. My period also took the responsibility of taking pictures from at least every class in each team.
HIIGHHLIGHHTTS
- Having a short week of school and a long weekend
It's relieving that the students finally have a 3 day weekend, it's been awhile since we even had a long, considerate weekend. I also enjoyed my weekend, taking all the naps I want and also doing Ms. Miya's project (which I'm mentioning in the next highlight lol).
- Doing well for Ms. Miya's project
Despite genuinely being fried that I only have a week to finish this project, I'm surprisingly doing well in a way where I'm managing my time wisely and not procrastinating. I'm also glad on how the process for my project is going, I really like how it looks SO FAR..and I genuinely hope I don't eat 💩💩 when finishing the project.
LOOWWLIGHHTTSS
- Having a stressful week in school
I know it's normal to have weeks where it becomes stressful, and I always mention it as a lowlight in my blog, but I just think the stress is making me have less energy to do stuff. For example, I had to finish Mr. Cole's children book format so I can paste it into Brooklyn's (my group partner) document; considering she's out on a trip in California. Especially with the diagnostics happening, the stress just builds up and up.
- Experiencing tech issues for broadcasting
Luckily, Mr. Ing found a way for us to record our announcements and post them on our Youtube account; but figuring out how to finally get our original way of doing live broadcasts is annoying. The new method where we record our broadcast and post it the day after is an easy process to do and understand, but I'm super used to the old way where we usually went live on TV.
LESSON LEARNNED
One of the main lesson I learned for this week is setting boundaries for yourself is important, like saying "no" is essential for personal well-being. I also learned that reflecting on growth is hella important too; where I acknowledge personal growth I made from both successes and challenged I made this week. Doing this helped me seems failure as a way for me to grow, especially during my last reading diagnostic; where I went down so much it helped me realize I really have to try my best and be confident in my answers, but also primarily doing my best even when the most challenging question comes.
