Quarter 2 Blog
SUMMARYYYY
Quarter 2 has finally ended. I have to admit; I feel pretty relieved it has! Nothing really changed in Quarter 2 after Quarter 1; the only difference was I got more and more work to do. Especially NHD too! On the other hand, I feel like there was more summatives/tests for this quarter, so it was a bit of a challenge for me to go through, considering summatives are 60% of my grade. However, I'm happy with my grades for this quarter and semester! To be honest, I feel like I did better in Quarter 2 unlike in Quarter 1. Other than that, my role of responsibility really increased after I joined Leadership, and I'm proud of myself. I'm proud of myself that I really grew up from the start of the year, and I made a lot of friends! To add on, I have to admit that Quarter 2 was way more stressing than Quarter 1 to be honest; everything went in a faster pace, and more and more summatives were being made. I also noticed this Quarter had way too many tests also, including the diagnostic! However, unlike Quarter 1, Quarter 2 honestly went way more faster once the Quarter started, and it really taught me to stay focus and lock in. For example, more and more big projects kept coming at the beginning of the quarter, and although it was stressing, it really taught me how to lock in 🙂↕️.

🌟---Grades going up to all A's!
Comparing my grades to my old grades in Quarter 1, I really did see a big progress! And I'm happy about it 🥹☺️. For example, my B (84.7%) from Quarter 1; went up to an A (93.75%)! And I'm really proud of myself that I have a full 100% in leadership teww!, considering that I went through A LOT of magic notes and weekly blogs this week. I also had to go through Family Nite, which was a participation grade, and really bumped up my grade to a 100% in Leadership! Overall, I'm super happy that I have good grades overall!
⭐️---Quizes and summatives are done for now!
I'm genuinely so happy that the summatives are put to a pause for now, especially for Math and Science bruv. I'm just glad all the tests and quizzes are done for those specifically two classes, knowing that some of the quizzes are (SOMETIMES 😡) super difficult and complicated. I'm also genuinely super relieved of this because I would literally do a backflip out of frustration if I literally found out a summative was assigned to us. I also literally hate Ms. Miya's essays dewd..Anyways! Other than that, I'm so glad quizzes and tests have taken a break.
⭐️--WINTERRR BREAKAKAKA
The most excited thing for this Quarter is literally Winter Break mayannn!! I feel like I'm going to enjoy this Winter Break, especially knowing it's rainy season. I literally love rainy season, everything feels so calm and I just feel relieved and relaxed in a way. Especially when it rains in school and the teachers open the door, it lowkey makes me even more focused knowing I'm listening to something relaxing in the backroooonndddayyy. Other than that, I'm just excited to stay in my bed today. OH EM GEE AND I STALKED UP ON BULDAK RAMEN TEWWW HAHHHH..

🌘--Not really feeling myself this Quarter
I don't really know, I feel like during this Quarter, I changed in a way where I felt drained; especially that one of my breakups happened this quarter, and that ex really meant so much to me. Even after it was a long time after the breakup and I moved on, I have to admit; that ex really meant so much to me. But now, I'm so proud of myself that I'm healing after the breakup! Not only the breakup made me drained, but also dealing with stress at school. With NHD being assigned at the beginning of the quarter and my group barely doing work, it really stressed me out. A LOT. But, I'm so happy that grades were up for NHD and that NHD is completely over.
🌘--Going through a TON of summatives
Not only I dealt with being more drained than usual this quarter, but also the fact multiple summatives were coming up this quarter for EACH core class. For example, Mrs. Miya and Mr. Cole had an essay that was assigned as a summative, and Mrs. Chen and Mrs. Arakawa had MANY quizzes for us about multiple concepts. However, I'm glad that some of the quizzes and summatives were easy, but just took super long to complete. For example, the essays for Mrs. Miya's and Mr. Cole's class at least take me 3-4 days. And, Mrs. Chen's tests take 2 days to do. On the other hand, Mrs. Arakawa's tests and quizzes take me the entire class period since they're pretty simple to follow.
LESSONNSSS LEAARRNEEDD
Over the past Quarter, I discovered that growth takes time and that progress isn't always immediate. I have to admit, there were moments when I felt frustrated in myself because I didn't see progress or results right away. but I learned that improvement happens slowly and slowly through consistent effort. Making mistakes helped me understand what I needed to work on, and each challenge pushed me to take on and grow a little more. This really taught me to be patient with myself and trust that putting effort will lead to progress over time.
Perception vs. Reality
⏱️ TIIMMEE MANAGGMENTT
Perception: I thought I would plenty of free time after finishing work quickly/
Reality: Time went by faster than expected, and I had to manage my time more carefully. In addition, I later learned that there's lowkey no such thing for free time, and work should be completely finished and also good quality. To conclude, since there was so much assignments being assigned, there was no such as free time.
📚 LEARRNINNGG AND GRADESS
Perception: I believed I would understand everything right away.
Reality: Some topics really took longer to grasp, and learning really does require patience and practice. For example, take math for example. There we multiple concepts that we learned, and all of them took time to remember and learn. Especially the scale drawing concept, it really was lowkey hard and even after FIVE days of learning it, using IXL and my notes to study, I still really don't understand it.
👥 GRROUUUPPPPOOOO WORKKKK
Perception: Groups would be easy to work with, especially if your assigned to certain people or even if you pick whose in your group.
Reality: In my opinion, group work is really frustrating...even if you got assigned or picked the partner(s) you wanted. If it's simple tasks and your in a group, then yea, it's easy. But if it's a SUPER important project or concept and your in a group, I learned it's super stressing. Take in NHD for example, my group BARELY DID ANYTHING. Even if I literally explain THOROUGHLY on how to do their certain parts, THEY LITERALLY LOOK AT ME STUPID?? LIKE WHAT ARE YOU DOING?? However, I really cannot go through a group that has an important concept to learn without stressing.
