WB 4-2
SUMMARRRYY
Despite this week being only a four day week in school, it was still probably the longest week I've ever had this year. Fortunately, I surpringly have a lot of things to say for each day of this week. On Monday, it was an odds day, which the periods were 1, 3, 5. Fortunately, I skipped 1st period due to Orientation, and the period after Orientation was done was 3rd period. It was kinda fun doing nothing the entire period, considering I was lowkey tired from dealing with my Holomua group. Luckily, I only had one entire period to deal with that day, which was Social Studies. On Tuesday, it was an evens day. Nothing really happened that day other than skipping 2nd and half of 4th period. To be honest, I should've skipped the entirety of 4th period and stay at A101 after Orientation. However, for 6th period, which was Science, my PBL group started to build our scale model drawing for Kalauha'iha'i. My group was honestly butt at doing each job, with each of them not even building stuff right with the clay. On Wednesday, which periods were 3, 5, 1; since orientation was done by 5th period, I decided to skip 5th period since I didn't really want to go to Mr. Cole's class. I really wanted to skip period 1 also, but there was a test that day. Nothing really else happened that day, other than doing props like usual after school. On Thursday, it was an evens day, where periods were 4, 6, 2. I was kind of happy that I skipped 4th period, but not really since sketches were had to be done. Unsurprisingly, I skipped period 6 since I didn't want to deal with my PBL group. However, I was more than happy to hear during 2nd that my group made a TON of progress; with my group just having to paint at the end. Even though there was no school on Friday, I still went to school to help out with props. Props went smoothly, where we finished up the pannels and also practiced with the pannels. Oh yeah, since I forgot to turn in my field trip form that week, I turned it in during Friday. Saturday, however, was a big day for Ilima. Dance Competition. During the morning, I straighted and curled my hair like usual before my mom and dad drove me to Taco Bell to grab food for my lunch that day, then dropping me off at Ilima. In the cafeteria, the leadership peeps including some alumni and I started working taking the pieces off of the pannels to ship it easily to Baisedeil. However, in Blaisedeil, we started working together to attach the pieces together as the dancers started prepping for their performance. During the performance, it went pretty smoothly; both the dancing and props. By the time we got our results, it was already around 9 pm. But, I'm so happy Ilima placed 2nd place for our division! Good job to all the Royal Prodigies!
ORIENTATIOONN
Now the busiest part of the week. Orientation. So, I'm going to include an Orientation paragraph for this week's blog. On Monday, my school came, which was Holomua. I was kind of sad I had to take blue track on my tour, since I came from red track instead. However, I loved by group! They were all so fun, but the downside of my group was they had a hard time listening despite all the call outs to listen from both me and Meygan. On Tuesday, it was Irqouis next. No shade to people from Irqouis, but in my opinion, Irqouis was the worst school we had for Orientation. My group was bad, but I can't really blame them since they're still immature. My group was also just boys, not a single girl in my group. The tour was horrible, with not my speaking but my tour group. They barely listened (they did this on PURPOSE..), asked STUPID questions, and also kept wandering around. There really was no hope for my group tbh. On Wednesday, Kaimiloa was next. I was really scared of this school, since my friends from Kaimiloa said that the 6th graders for that year was bad. But to my surprise, my group was really nice! Especially in my campus tour, they were very well behaved. I also was partnered up with Markwil and Roxanne for my tour. There were many positive things about my group; which them not being awkward at all, not afraid to ask questions, and most importantly they listened and were attentive. On Thursday, Pohakea was next. Pohakea was...alright. There's really no words for this school because I had mixed feelings about them. Maybe because I was tired that day, or my group was just..yeah.
HIIGHHLIGHTTSS
Alright, since I'm keeping this blog a bit short; I'm just going to make a paragraph for both highlights and lowlights.
One of my highlights for this week was managing to socialize with the students from each of the four schools. Even though I was kind of scared of them; I realized that they would've found me a bit more scarier since I'm a grade higher than them, let alone I'm not in elementary school anymore. Another highlight for this week was lowkey skipping the first periods of the day for a week straight; especially on my odd days. Even though I was late on work, it was relieving to not be in class and also just skip in general. Also, in addition to my highlights is making friends with some of the 6th graders from Kaimiloa. Surprisingly, two of the girls from my campus tour group managed to find my Tiktok; so now I just basically give them advice and talk to them in general. (and thx to frenzy who gave me 3 whole bags of snacks 🥹🥹.)
LOOOWWWLIGHHTTS
One of the lowlights for this week is catching up on late work from skipping the first period of the day for a week straight. lol I get it, I mentioned skipping my periods in the highlight paragraph but catching up on work isn't fun. However, I'm making sure skipping my periods isn't becoming a habit. Another lowlight I have for this week is literally burning my finger while curling my hair in A102. As I was putting my hair curler in my bag; the rod was still SUPER hot; so I accidently touched the rod, making my finger burn and hurt for a week straight. However, it was kinda funny carrying my bag of ice during Orientation, alongside with Myra who also burned her finger.
LESSOON LEARRNNEDD
My main lesson for this week is hard work pays off. For example, after spending hours practicing Orientation in A101 during lunch and advisory, when the time actually came; all that practice and hard work to figure out our cues paid off. Especially our dancing, spending almost everyday trying to memorize the dances. In addition to that, since my period was taken out to practice how our speeches would be during our tour guide, when it came to the actual moment; I'm glad that my practice paid off.
