WB 3-9

 SUMMARY

Nothing really happened this week other than yearbook being finished up—which is honestly a BIG relief. Myra and I also skipped 2nd and 4th period to work on yearbook, I planned to skip 6th period that day but decided not to considering that I almost skipped half of the school day. I'm not really going to go over each week since it was lowkey super stressing, so I genuinely had memory loss 🙁. However, this week was full on work—no one played music, worked ID's, or set up for broadcasting. But, I admire the 8th graders' hard work to keep the broadcasts going for the entire week. For this entire week, I skipped almost 1-2 periods everyday to work on yearbook,  knowing yearbook needs to be taken seriously and be put into hands where it will end up in the result of being good-quality.

HIGHLIGHTS

One main highlight of mine is of course finishing yearbook. Yearbook is legitimately the most BIGGEST and important project in the school, and forever will be. However, that's my opinion though. I'm genuinely super relieved that yearbook is now set aside so Leadership can now focus on Orientation, including other important events. Another highlight for this week was lowkey skipping my periods lol. It was also fun skipping my periods, knowing I skipped all the boring work being assigned. However, that didn't stop me from doing uncompleteded work. But, I kept notice that I would always skip more periods on the even days than odd days—which is kinda ironic considering I hate my odd days.

LOWLIGHTS

My main lowlight for this week was experiencing and undergoing stress almost every day, every hour, or every minute almost. Yearbook was our main focus, making Leadership push aside other important things such as Orientation. Not only yearbook was stressing, it's the fact that more and more assignments were being assigned. CSA's for Science were assigned, an essay was assigned for Social Studies, and even more stuff that I'm completely tired of. Another lowlight is barely having time to hang out with my friends anymore. Although I take Leadership VERY seriously and not a time to mess around, I always wanted and hoped to have more hours to spend time with my friends. Even though calling or texting exists, I rather do something fun in person rather than online.

LESSONS LEARNED

My main lesson learned for this week is to finish what you started. The most important example is yearbook—it's undone, so FINISH it in the most diligent and best-quality way possible. Pages barely had any pictures, especially the staff page, so working hard with my period—we've gotten a ton done that entire week; such as taking candidate and team pictures also. Another example is the HOSS page, since there were two people that missed their pictures for their HOSS role, Leadership automatically scheduled the next day to take pictures for specifically those two—getting the HOSS page done quickly.
